Terms and Conditions Google Chrome Webstore
Effective Date: July 5, 2026
This policy covers the SquarespaceWebsites Tools and SquarespaceWebsites Tools PRO Chrome extensions ("the Extension").
What the Extension Does
The Extension runs with the permissions listed on its Chrome Web Store installation page. It never collects personal information such as your email, address, or payment details.
Some features let you copy or clone page content between Squarespace sites you're already logged into. This is a user-initiated action — you choose when it happens — and no page content is stored on Squarewebsites servers. Content moves directly between the Squarespace sites you control, using Squarespace's own internal APIs.
Firebase
SquarespaceWebsites Tools PRO uses Google Firebase solely to authenticate Pro license holders and to save your tweaks and presets. Firebase is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Third-Party Access
We do not share user activity data with third parties, since we don't collect personal data in the first place. If you use the "Sharing Content Presets" feature and set a preset to "Shared," that page content becomes accessible to other users of the Extension.
Chrome Web Store Analytics
The Chrome Web Store automatically generates anonymized install and usage data, controlled entirely by Google and governed by their own privacy policies.
Manifest V3 Compliance
The Extension is built to Chrome's Manifest V3 standard. All code runs locally in your browser — there is no remote code execution.
Security
We use reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Extension processes. No system can guarantee complete security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy at any time. We'll note changes here; continued use of the Extension after an update means you accept the revised policy.
